Quick diagnostic: MID 130 PSID 27

Quick Diagnostic: MID 130 PSID 27

Select FMI for Diagnostic Path:

FMI 0: Unintentional Disengagement

Cause: Control valve leaking air into cylinder.

Symptom: TECU fights to keep clutch engaged. Yellow warning.

FMI 1: Unintentional Engagement

Cause: Air leak (Valve, Hose, or Cylinder).

Symptom: System cannot maintain disengagement. Red warning.

FMI 7 / 12 / 14: Mechanical / Slipping

Cause: Physical clutch failure or slipping detected.

Symptom: Engine torque limited, stuck in gear.

FMI 11: Unknown Fault (Clutch Drag)

Cause: Drive detected while clutch is disengaged.

Symptom: Hard gear engagement, warped flywheel.

FMI 0 – Step 1: Leak Test & Control

Run Tech Tool > Leak Test. If it fails, replace the Clutch Control Valve and calibrate.

FMI 0 – Step 2: TECU Signal

Swap TECU to rule out incorrect solenoid signaling.

FMI 1 – Step 1: External Seals

Check valve gasket. Swap Clutch Control Valve. Re-run Leak Test.

FMI 1 – Step 2: Internal Integrity

Remove Trans. Bucket Test the Cylinder and Braided Hose.

FMI 11 – Step 1: Input Shaft Speed Test

Jack drive wheel, release brake. Run Input Shaft Speed Test. Can you hold the wheel still while clutch is disengaged?

FMI 11 – Step 2: Triage Check

Swap TECU to rule out speed sensor interpretation errors.

FMI 7/12/14 – Step 1: Performance Tests

Run Performance Test. If results are normal, proceed to TECU swap.

FMI 7/12/14 – Step 2: Final Isolation

Swap TECU and calibrate. If fault remains, pull transmission.
